The BlackBox Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit was founded on April 16, 2012 and has adopted this mission:

…to enhance the quality of life of people in our community by providing them with opportunities to experience the arts through performance and education.

Educating Our Youth

2014

BlackBox Foundation announces the launch of our new educational program: The BlackBox Studio!

The BlackBox Studio was an educational arts program featuring arts classes, workshops, and performance opportunities, all offered to community members at the lowest possible pricing. It was the result of a year of planning and recruiting. Classes were offered in Art, Photography, Music, Theatre, and Writing, all taught by eight highly qualified local instructors.

2018

BlackBox Foundation moves into historic Casa Grande Woman’s Club building!

In the next chapter of the building’s history, it becomes home to community theater productions as the BlackBox Foundation prepares to move in February.

Since it was built more than nine decades ago, the Casa Grande Woman’s Club building on North Sacaton Street has been a spot for community events with everything from flower shows, lunches, balls, book sales and club meetings to yoga classes having been held inside its stone walls.
